Everyone that was involved with me could not have been better very happy with everything thank you all.
My wife and I are regular visitors to the hospital as we are both cancer patients and have been treated at City Hospital over many years and we can honestly say we cannot fault the treatment we have received. If we do have any criticism it would be the time it takes to get an appointment after GP referral. For example my wife needs an operation which could be done in two months but the consultant needs an urgent cardio report before the op. The earliest cardio appointment we could get was 4 1/2 months. This is a ridiculous wait for what is an urgent request from a consultant.
Take more care
Can’t fault the care I received
I have had a wonderful experience the two times that I have had surgery from this hospital
pre &. aftercare. has always been A1 and appointments been on time to the minute I would like thank all of staff in particular. Dr Anandan. for their kindness and expertise given to me over the past two. months a. most greatfull. patient.
All ways clean and staff helpful
thanks
The staff were always polite, courteous yet friendly and helpful. They all showed great competence and despite the number of patients they have to deal with many of whom are of difference race and ethnicity based on my observations they treated everyone on equal terms with a lot of patience and sympathy.
The only two areas I would highlight for improvement are
- the patience release time which took a long time after my operation in the waiting room. Given that I was told to ensure my foot was elevated the time I spent in the waiting room caused a lot of discomfort and eventually i was given a bed when one was available to help with keeping my foot elevated.
- Car parking is a problem given how busy the hospital gets and on most occasions cars have to park on curbs and double yellow lines.
I spent some time on and off in Peterborough city Hospital, August, September, and October 2019. And I would like to Thank them for there kindness, support, and patience towards me.
To the Orthopaedics, A&E, Medical team, Ward A3, Women's Ward and the Gastroscopy Unit. And a special thank you to the Nurse who came to help me, when I came over poorly in the main Entrance.
Was admitted into A15 ward via A & E , as I had internal bleeding causing anaemia. I was on A15 for a week , and the staff and the care provided was the best I have experienced in years ! All the staff were attentive and pro-active , and really seemed to genuinely care about you and took time to get to know you. They were always available and had time for you and so many little things they done showed they actually cared , I felt so well looked after and at ease. Even the catering and cleaning staff were the same. The ward itself was clean and bright and I could not fault a thing.
If this was a Trip Adviser review I would give Peterborough and Ward A15 5 gold stars !!!

The hospital was very busy, the staff at reception were very polite and efficient. The corridors and waiting areas were clean and fresh. There was no delay in my procedure and the Nurse was friendly, polite and put me to ease.
